Eight miles north of Northumberland's picturesque market town of Alnwick, lies the charming village of Christon Bank. These wonderful bays lay on a strip of unspoiled sandy beaches and are only a brief drive from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, and the other nature-rich Farne Islands. Set in the rolling hills, this lovely little villagehas a traditional, real ale pub, which also serves food, but for more variety of cuisine, the neighbouring villages also host a number of excellent restaurants. The piano was good entertainment and the games room too for the kids. Just a few minor things. The French door is hard to lock and unlock, the decking was a bit slippy and the shower upstairs collected a lot of water and I had to unblock the toilet a couple of times. The plumbing seems to make a noise when running the taps. This did not affect our stay at all and we would stay again and recommend. Laney & Neil and the rest of the Wignalls

Loved piano and we had a lot of singing nights so very pleased cottage was detached! Local pub small and very friendly. Plenty of things to do - visitors would need a car. Would definitely recommend and hope to return myself. Thank you
