The lodge had everything we needed and it was very spacious. A few too many flies which we had to keep getting out and I don’t know why as we did not have food out on show. The trek up to the Elks head pub was an adventure. Uphill into the woods which was beautiful and took about 40 mins. We fully expected to taxi back and we’re prepared with phone numbers and also go numbers off bar staff but we could not get a taxi ☹️ The pub has only been open 11days so don’t know if that had something to do with it but we had to walk back which was at the time scary but we laughed all the way with only our phone torches for light. We were 3 women in out 50,s so you can imagine. The food at the Elks head was excellent and we would recommend it. All in all a great time .

Lodge was by a building site concrete mixers and diggers there first thing in morning not a relaxing holiday to the extreme that didn’t stay and booked into a bed and breakfast

The lodge was perfect and very clean, apart from the oven. The previous guests must have burnt something in there and left a tray and melted silicon tongs. However, this was quickly sorted. Absolutely loved the hot tub but gutted that we couldn't use it in the day due to the construction work that was being carried out a few feet from our lodge. The size of the lodge is absolutely perfect and the double bed was very comfy. Overall we were very comfortable, happy and impressed.I'll definitely return here but not until the construction work is completed.
