This attractive cottage is perfectly positioned for trips to the Killhope Mine, the High and Low Force Waterfalls, historic Hexham, Hadrian's Wall and Durham city, with its magnificent cathedral. Take a trip further afield and visit Newcastle and the Metrocentre, Bowes Museum and the Beamish Open Air Museum. A pretty cottage in the perfect location for a break at any time of year.

The town of Allendale was once the centre of a busy lead mining area, and many relics of the mining era remain around the area. Allendale is ideally placed for access to Carlisle to the west, Hexham to the east or the Roman Wall just to the north. There are lots of walks and unspoilt villages in the surrounding North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside or travelling further north to the glorious Heritage Coastline.
