About this property

Get away from it all in this luxurious rural bolthole for two, nestled amongst beautiful countryside near the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The charming village of Trawden – a popular base for walkers – is just 1 mile away, and you’ll also be 12 miles from the ancient market town of Skipton. After a day of exploring, rest your weary limbs in the indulgent free-standing bath, or enjoy an al fresco meal in a peaceful, countryside setting.

The luxurious retreat has been elegantly decorated and furnished, combining striking original features with contemporary furniture and design. Enter the property via the entrance hall, where you can store bikes and muddy boots, before climbing the stairs to the open-plan living area. In one corner is a sleek kitchen for whipping up delicious dinners for two, which you can share at the chic breakfast bar. After dinner, stretch out on the sofa or curl up in the armchair to read a book or watch the Smart TV. The king-size bed is cleverly partitioned from the rest of the room, creating a cosy spot for a good night’s sleep. At the foot of the bed is a gorgeous free-standing bath – the ultimate treat after a long walk. Patio doors from the bedroom open onto a balcony where you can sip a morning coffee and take in the far-reaching views. A contemporary shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, aside from the balcony, you’ll find a small patio to the front of the cottage with furniture and a BBQ, as well as an enclosed patio to the rear with breathtaking countryside views.

The friendly village of Trawden has a cosy pub and a local shop. The village is a fantastic base for walkers, set at the foot of the spectacular Boulsworth Hill. On a clear day, a climb to its summit will provide you with views across the Yorkshire Dales, South Pennines, and Lake District. There are also several long-distance walking trails in the area, including the Bronte Way which links various places associated with the lives and works of the literary sisters. The market town of Skipton (12 miles) is a must for history enthusiasts, with its listed buildings, cobbled streets, and 900-year-old castle.
