I love the unrivalled sea views from the cottage, I can just imagine sitting back in the arm chair relaxing after a great day out and enjoying the views of the sea all the way over to Morecambe Bay!. 2 steps to entrance.

Dolphin Cottage really does have a home from home feel as soon as you walk through the door. The stunning sea views make this property very unique whilst still being in the centre of the bustling town of Grange-Over-Sands.

A quintessentially British seaside resort, Grange-over-Sands has retained the old-fashioned feel of a time gone by, with classic tea shops, cafés, family-run shops and restaurants in the town centre. In fact, the whole town prides itself on the large number of family-run businesses in the area, giving a real sense of community spirit and offering visitors a very high standard of friendly, personal service wherever you go.

Close by the village of Cartmel is a picture postcard Lakeland village with charming winding narrow streets surround a small village square and the village’s Sticky Toffee Pudding is its very own speciality. The village is home to the Michelin starred restaurant, L’Enclume, which is acclaimed as one of the best in the country and does require forward booking.

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy local amenities, stunning seaside walks, have views all day long and for a bit of train spotting. Beach 176 yards. Shop 352 yards and pub 124 yards.

    Our second stay and we’ll book again for next year. The view from the picture window and the balcony is superb and ever changing. The Cottage is clean and comfortable and is an excellent situation to walk to local shops and eateries, as well as within easy driving distance of nature reserves and Lakes, Mountains, historic houses and the sea. One of us is a restless sleeper so we like the single bed option and sleep well here in the comfortable beds. Can’t wait to return.

    This small but comfortable property is located down a quiet side street close to town centre shops and other amenities. With the railway station just a ten minute walk away, it's an ideal place for couples or singles who don't drive. The railway runs behind the property, but I didn't find the noise of passing trains intrusive. The main selling point is the outstanding view over the estuary and Morecambe Bay from the large living room window or the enclosed balcony. Equipment is generally fine, but note the lack of a washing machine. The dimly-lit bathroom comes with a bath, an adequate electric shower and those irritating taps that are difficult to grip with wet hands. I found the bed to be very comfortable. Overall impression was very positive and I would be more than happy to stay again.
