Danby 5 miles. This attractive lodge cabin is set in an elevated position, on a small site, on the edge of Liverton village near the North York Moors National Park, Yorkshire. With glorious views over open countryside towards the coast, the lodge is in an ideal position for exploring both the stunning surrounding moorland and the dramatic nearby coastline. The open plan living area is warm and welcoming, with a small modern kitchen which has a cosy dining area and sitting area with log-effect electric fire. There are also two comfortable cosy bedrooms with fitted furniture and a family bathroom. From the living area, French doors lead onto a decked veranda, where you can sit with a glass of wine and embrace the fine rural views. Outside, there are communal lawned grounds for families to enjoy. The surrounding area is a walkers paradise, with a network of public footpaths and trails to follow, while the pretty coastal villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay are just a few minutes drive. Why not wander around the quaint narrow streets lined with old cottages tumbling down towards the sea? You will be able to go crabbing in the rock pools, build sandcastles on the beach, or enjoy coffee and cakes in one of the tasty tea rooms. The elegant Victorian spa town of Saltburn is close by, with pretty ornamental gardens, an historic pier and a unique gravity driven cliff lift, which begins at the top promenade and goes down to the beach below. With restaurants, cafes and independent shops, there is plenty to while away a pleasant afternoon. The popular and vibrant resort of Whitby is 14 miles south, and well worth a visit, with its long, sweeping sands, famous Abbey and historic harbour. A well-placed lodge for a varied and relaxing holiday. Note: This property is next to Ref. 933220, together they sleep 8.
