Lost Lobster Cottage is one of our most romantic cottages, beautifully furnished with comfort and pure luxury in mind. This gorgeous old house has been completely restored back to the bare stone walls and finished to a beautiful standard. Overlooking Embleton Dene, the cottage sleeps 4 guests and welcomes 4 dogs. It has a wood-burning stove and a roll-top claw-foot bath for cosy nights in and pampering! A Romantic Retreat in the Pretty Coastal Village of Embleton
Lost Lobster Cottage is a traditional village home, brimming with character which overlooks the Dene – a quiet open space in the heart of the quaint coastal village of Embleton. This gorgeous cottage has been completely renovated, stripped back to the bare stone and lovingly restored back to its original form – with all the modern luxuries, of course!
Lost Lobster Cottage is situated in a central part of the pretty little village of Embleton, just a few minutes walk from beautiful Embleton beach (16 minutes to be exact!). There’s a choice of 3 great pubs in the village – all with restaurants – all of which serve good food, as well as a village store for essentials. Embleton is on the Coastal Route which leads north to Low Newton, Beadnell, Seahousesand Bamburgh, or south down to Boulmer, Craster, Alnmouth and Warkworth. The village is very central for exploring all of the quaint villages on our stunning coastline, as well as in land to Alnwick and beyond.
The cottage sleeps 4 guests and welcomes up to 4 dogs. There’s private parking, an EV charger and a large enclosed garden and pretty views over the Dene for sunny days and balmy evenings. You can even help yourself to apples from the blooming apple tree in the garden! It has a wood burning stove in the lounge (of course!) and a fabulous claw foot roll-top bath in the Victorian-inspired bathroom, for cosy, romantic nights in. Lost Lobster Cottage is a truly gorgeous escape in a beautiful Northumbrian village setting.

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay. Lost Lobster Cottage is beautiful. Our dogs loved pottering in the garden. We had trips to Dunstanburgh Castle, Bamburgh, Craster and of course we couldn’t come away without Craster Kippers. Our welcome basket was full of goodies upon arrival. The beds were comfy and the lounge was cosy. You even organised the sun for us! Thank you again, we would love to come again.

Lost Lobster Cottage is a unique treasure. We were lucky enough to win this long weekend which was donated by Louise the owner. From our first contact with Coquet Cottages and emails with Louise, I knew we had been very lucky to have had such wonderful hosts. We have just loved being here exploring the coast, sitting in the beautiful garden, the comfy beds and enjoying the wonderful cosy feel. Thank you so much!
