Additional Information:
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request.
Walking distance to beach.
The quarry has a steep rock face, but there is a safe, enclosed area for viewing and picnics.
There is no lighting (other than at the lodge door) outside the properties and in the surrounding car park area. This is to avoid light pollution as the area is a dark sky area and perfect for star gazing.
There is no access to the adjacent nature reserve as it is protected, however the variety of butterflies, other birds and flowers are numerous and easily spotted. Fulmars can be spotted next to the Quarry face.

Great accommodation in a beautiful part of England. The views of Bamburgh Castle and the coast are stunning. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. I gave 4 stars as the hamper was a little disappointing and small touches like toiletries were missing and the dishwasher salt was empty. Currently managed by Crabtree and Crabtree and not up to Rural Retreats standard in my humble opinion.

This is the third time of staying at Malliow Lodge. Very comfortable and well equipped in very peaceful surroundings in a lovely location. However, was slightly disappointed this time with the standard of the welcome hamper. I don't know whether it was to do because Crabtree and Crabtree supplied the items, but not up to the usual standard of what Rural Retreats advertise in their write up. A number of items missing which would normally have been provided
