A Luxury Hideaway in Historic Alnwick
Nursery Cottage at Alnwick has been lovingly restored from a former gardener’s cottage on the site of the old Clive Nurseries. Situated within the bounds of the town itself, the cottage is in a very quiet residential area. With the benefit of a private, secluded front garden and patio area, with stunning views of Alnwick Castle with the Moors beyond from the floor-to-ceiling master bedroom window, this little cottage is a real gem.
The easy stroll into the heart of town, with a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops, is around 10-15 minutes. Alnwick is also home to Alnwick Castle and the world-class Alnwick Garden, with its fabulous Treehouse – creatively housing a unique restaurant. With a central location, it provides easy access to all the ‘must-see’ attractions in Northumberland, including Bamburgh, The Farne Islands, Holy Island, the medieval and picturesque village of Warkworth, and Alnmouth, with its famous ‘Balamory style’ seaside houses. Nursery Cottage is in the heart of great walking and cycling country too.

We have had a lovely time here at Nursery Cottage. A really well-appointed and tastefully decorated house. We have loved waking up to the amazing view of Alnwick Castle every morning. We have been so lucky with the weather, and there is so much to do in the area. A week really doesn’t do Northumberland justice! Castel, wonderful walks, and glorious beaches. Swimming in the sea, diverse wildlife and food galore! Thank you so much for our welcome pack – it was very kind. We will definitely recommend Nursery Cottage. Thank you so much.

We have had a lovely stay at Nursery Cottage, so comfortable and well equipped. The weather has been good and we have enjoyed some good walks nearby. The beaches are beautiful and so quiet and unspoilt. Thank you for the welcome hamper for us and also our dog, Maisie. We are sure we will return!
