Lovely cosy cottage, had everything you needed and more, loved the hot tub and rural surroundings. Only thing missing is wi-fi on the tv to access Netflix.

Stayed for a long weekend with my parents (in their 70’s) and my 18yr old daughter.Location was perfect for us we wanted quiet and surrounded by countryside and that’s what we got. Well presented property and the owners had thought of everything.Bedrooms were 2 double bedrooms, an option of one being a twin would have been nice but did not spoil our stay.Bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor wasn’t an issue for us, having the living area upstairs meant we could enjoy the views whilst having a cuppa on a morning and evening. Hot tub was great and the perfect way to relax and take in the views. As local amenities are not close we arranged a delivery from Morrisons which made packing for a weekend away so much easier. However a 10 min drive and we were in Bernard Castle and we were able to enjoy the bowes museum, local shops and facilities. Would definitely stay again.
