Lovely open fire, and very quiet location. Very clean cottage and lots of towels, bedding and other facilities provided. Great location for local walks around Middleton in Teesdale as well as further afield walks. One of those cottages where you feel sad to leave at the end of your stay. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future.

We booked last minute on the morning of our stay for 4 nights. It was no problem at all for the owners of Miners Cottage. Lovely cottage in a great spot for exploring further a field.

We asked for a new frying pan as the one in the property was very badly scratched, and enquired if a mattress topper could be provided as we were getting bad backs from the bed. These were promptly provided; we also reported areas in the property which had layers of dust. The Kitchen is well equipped but the fridge freezer could easily be replaced. It was good to have an area at the back of the property for wet coats and boots. We enjoyed exploring the area but wouldn't stay at this property again.
