We made excellent use of the hot tub, that made the holiday for us really. The lodge was great and the pool was too. The kids enjoyed the playground though we weren’t there much. Once I’d sussed out the two top fields for walking the dog, that made life easier. I think it was all great really, sounded fairly lively at the campsite and everyone pretty close to each other so I don’t think I’d book to camp. We were lucky because there were no bookings in the lodge either side of us so we weren’t disturbed by any close neighbours and equally were able to relax with our inevitably excitable children, rather than being paranoid about them being noisy. Everything was adequate - it was all okay - it was good. Because it is marketed as “luxury” there is a mismatch of expectations, or there was for me. But it was all good. The view out from the hot tub across the field was lovely and very relaxing, with the cows roaming, and occasionally boats with sails spotted on the river beyond. Really nice. We had a really fun time.

It is a bit pricy, but, the lodge was superb, it is spacious and with the tub it was good to spend time there rather than just using as a base that you are more likely to do in a smaller caravan.Overall I would definitely recommend and will certainly come back.

Bedroom too cramped king size bed squeezed in with loads of unnecessary storage (walk in wardrobe so multiple units not needed) - really difficult to negotiate getting in / out of room & to bathroom especially at night - note we are in 40’s with no mobility issues! Bed mattress seen better days - not comfortable.
