About this property

Create treasured memories at this gorgeous, well equipped coastal property – relax, unwind and soak up the glorious views year round.

Located within the pretty coastal village of Salthouse, Marsh View offers modern accommodation set on three floors and enjoys views of the sea from the some of its bedrooms. There is a social, open plan living area on the ground floor as well as an additional snug with a second TV.  There is a ground floor shower room, first floor family bathroom and a master suite on the second floor with a roll top bath in the room and an en-suite shower room too. The house affords some lovely views; countryside to the rear and the local church, marshes and sea to the front.  The accommodation is within walking distance of a great local pub and a good village shop.

The area in and around Salthouse is a walkers' and bird watchers' dream.  The flat marshes lead out to the sea and shingle beach and the wide open skies make you feel as if you are away from the stresses of life for a while.  Quirky and quaint villages dot the coastline, take a trip to see the local seal colony from Blakeney or Morston, check out the art galleries in Cley-next-the-Sea - there's a great deli and a smokehouse here too showcasing local produce.  Vast and sandy beaches are just along the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham and for history buffs there are plenty of historic houses to wander into.  The Coast Hopper bus service is another great way of seeing this stretch of coastline, leave the car behind and hop and off from Cromer in the east to Hunstanton in the west.

The Property is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac in this picturesque coastal village of Salthouse; far enough away from the coast road to be undisturbed by holiday traffic but still close enough to the small general store and pub to easily walk there. The Property is very well appointed and has bedrooms on three separate levels (including a sort of semi-annexe above the garage that has its own shower/loo but is still linked to the rest of the house) which is excellent if you have snorers within your group/or want privacy! A bottle of Wine and luxury biscuits, large bottle of milk, tea bags and coffee awaited us on arrival which were very welcome. We were lucky and had beautiful sunny weather all week in early February (perfect for our birdwatching holiday) but nights were cold. However the house was always warm and cosy so we didn't really need to use the log burning stove other than for decoration at night.
