"Great weekend at Mill House. Ideal for what we wanted. A family group with adults and children. Once you worked out the layout of the cottage and how to get around ut was good fun bumping into others doing the same. Peaceful, there was no traffic noise from road outside but needed to make sure the fate was closed. Plenty of parking. We had 10 in our group and there was plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans for our cooking requirements.Wiuld certainly consider returning if we want to return to this area"

"An excellent house that all the family enjoyed (ages 81to nearly 2!)"

"Really great and we had a lovely time, only thing we'd say is that it is in the middle of nowhere so you need a car! Also all the rooms connect into one and other and you need to walk through them to get to different parts of the house, we were all close friends so this was fine but would have been awkward if we wern't!"

"This cottage is in the most beautiful unspoilt spot next to the river Bure and away from the frenetic buzz of the broads and tourist hotspots. It's perfect for a get away but it has seen better days. Don't expect wifi or much phone signal or even a local shop. The high point was rowing (lifejackets provided, rollocks missing on one side - Canadian canoeing style sufficed) the boat down the river and the crumbling hide provided us with a fantastic experience of seeing a kingfisher perched on the boat and the resident otter swimming silently around the island. Magic. Be prepared - the carpets have seen better days albeit the whole house has a nostalgic charm of yesteryear complete with original photograph of the owner from the 1940s. There's a lot of space but we wondered if the backdoor could have a more secure lock on it? There are huge amounts of lovely hot water and baths galore but we worried when the upstairs shower leaked rather close to the electrical unit below..??! A completely unique spot, quiet, space to roam, private and utterly compelling, just needs a few security and safety tweaks.."

"Very good property. The photos don't do justice to the size of the house. It is actually a set of three old cottages that have been connected together. we fit 14 people comfortably with each person having a bed each (including the double beds).Plenty of space. Nice big garden, reasonably enclosed but I couldn't trust my whippet with it, though i suspect another dog would work well with it.no wifi but when you consider the sheer size that you are working with and how remote the house is, You can understand why. It ended up being a plus for us as we were having a board game playing session with a big group of friends and it helped keep us focused."

"We had a family weekend here and it was a great choice. The boat was very popular as were the gardens and field."

"This isn’t the best house we have ever stayed in, it was however perfect for the children to run around up and down the 3 different sets of stairs and adjoining rooms. 16 members of the same family had a wonderful time, thank you"

"A family of 16 ranging from the age of 75 to 1 enjoyed a sunny Easter weekend break here. Plenty of space for us adults to socialise and for the children to play both indoor and out. Nicely situated in the countryside but yet not far from the coast, broads or the City of Norwich. Kitchens packed with all the equipment you need. Beds comfortable. Furniture a little dated but in keeping with the style of the property. Bathrooms a plenty but over bath showers could do with being looked at. Little rowing boat on the meandering river was a hit with the children. Overall we had a great time and would return if we wanted to stay in the same area again."

"We had a great weekend for my mother’s 80th birthday with all the family. Lots of young teanagers and two dogs meant the fact that everything was a little tired and dated was a benefit, because the adults were not worried about minor scuffs etc. Lovely walks around the vicinity and easy reach of Cromer. A lovely weekend, in a great house with lots of rustic charm."
