We had a lovely short stay at Brooke's Cottage. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm blast of warm air from the heating, and felt at home from square one. The cottage is well-equipped and very cosy - plenty of room for two. The huge open fireplace is beautiful (and was used very evening!) We did find it to be a tad dark in the living room, particularly in the evening; perhaps an additional light or two would be ideal, but only a minor issue. We spent a lot of time birdwatching around nature reserves along the coast; namely Cley and Salthouse marshes, Hickling Broad, Horsey Gap (for seals!), and RSPB Snettisham. Loads of winter waders/ coastal birds. We would have loved to have got to more, but there are only so many hours of sunlight (and sunshine!) at this time of year. Holt is a lovely little village with lots of little shops and tea rooms. The Owl Tearooms was lush. An evening meal at the Rose and Crown, Snettisham was also thoroughly enjoyed. Little Gems in Cromer and Crystal Cave in Hunstanton are absolutely incredible, whether that's your sort of thing or not - you could spend hours in there, so well worth a visit. Overall a wonderful (but too short) birding holiday with a lovely base to return to every evening. Thank you.

Some sort of a reading lamp in the living room would be very helpful. Comfortable, welcoming, charming, generally delightful.

A lovely week in a fabulous cottage! Despite the wet weather (and the wind!) We have had a great time. Many thanks for the wine.
