About this property

A cosy, charming cottage built in 1891 located in a tranquil north Norfolk village close to the source of the River Bure with lovely walking country on the doorstep.

Goldsmith's Cottage is a delightful end of terrace cottage built in 1891, set as it is close to the source of the River Bure and the mill itself, which can still be seen in the village. The property has an inviting living and dining space, which leads into a well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor that are accessed via a steep, traditional Norfolk winder staircase. There is a small suntrap courtyard for relaxing morning breakfasts or an end of the day drink and the cottage is moments from the pub, a good village shop.

  • Mr Rook

A very comfortable , clean and well equipped cottage. The stairs is not awkward after a few ups and downs . Location gives you the choice of many country lane walks - ideal for dogs- or the short journey to the coast. Easy parking outside the cottage made unloading and loading very easy. As regards finding the cottage on arrival - our sat nav took us right there- just remember its the first cottage after the pub. Must say we heard no noise from this pub - a lovely quiet location . The village has a well stocked shop /post office about 150yds away. The back “garden” is a sun trap. The welcome pack , included bread ,milk ,crisps, cake and preserves was a nice touch.

Excellent cottage, well equipped, great location, only proviso I think a warning should be given about the spiral staircase fo anyone who maybe not be so agile.
