About this property

Reputedly one of the oldest houses in the village, this traditional Norfolk cottage is as pretty as a picture, with a flint walled cottage garden to the front, and climbing roses around the windows.

Once inside the front door, you will be charmed by the delightfully cosy rooms that are brim full of character with fireplaces, beams, Pamment flooring, the odd curved wall, a sloping floor or two, latch doors and pretty floral wallpapers. Thankfully the staircases are straight (there are two staircases and one is particularly steep), the furniture very comfortable, the antique style beds have mattresses that will guarantee you a good night’s rest; and the kitchen is very well-equipped. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one has a fabulous Fired Earth slipper bath), a spacious sitting room with dining area as well as a snug/study, this lovely cottage will appeal to couples, a small family, or a few friends.

The village itself boasts a fine deli - Picnic Fayre, a fantastic smokehouse serving great local produce and the windmill for fine dining. You’re also well located to explore the coast in either direction and can use the Coasthopper bus for transportation if you want to leave your car at home.

  • The T Family

Lovely to be back, just as good as last year. Took advantage of the wood burner which super heated the cottage. We had Autumn days and visits the Shire Horse Sanctury & Sandringham.
