A beautifully furnished, traditional 1890's detached brick and flint cottage, with two cosy wood burning stoves and fully-enclosed landscaped garden. Set in the pretty village of South Creake, situated close to the affluent village of Burnham Market and a mere 12 minute drive to the gloriously vast coastline of North Norfolk.
Duck Cottage is an attractive and spacious traditional Norfolk cottage, exquisitely located for exploring and enjoying all that Norfolk has to offer. Furnished throughout with high quality furniture and bedding, both the sitting room and dining room feature cosy wood burning stoves to snuggle up in front of when the days are cooler. Upstairs you have a choice of three attractive bedrooms; two spacious king-size bedroom and one bunk room. The safe and fully-enclosed rear garden has a large lawned area with terrace, hosting garden furniture. As the garden is south-west facing you can enjoy the glorious sunshine whilst the children and dog play to their hearts content.
South Creake boasts a large village green, two hireable tennis courts, a playing field and children's playground, a music school where you can book and enjoy regular classical concerts, and a spectacular church. There is a good village pub/restaurant, The Ostrich Inn, where you can book a table and enjoy more formal dining, or for something more relaxed, enjoy the Inn's pizza al fresco during the summer months. The stream that runs through the village is the meeting point for the vivid plump of ducks that make South Creake their home - hence the cottage is aptly named! On the first Saturday of the month head to the neighbouring village of North Creake to attend the bustling farmer's market. All year round nearby Creake Abbey has plenty of shops.
There is off-road parking for one large car at the cottage.

Duck Cottage has a lovely, safe and fully-enclosed garden. There is a paved area for al fresco dining, featuring a table with benches and a charcoal barbecue.
Bedding is mix of feather and synthetic fibre.

Fantastic week in North Norfolk. Great walks along the beach from Holme to Old Hunstanton and from Cley to Salthouse. Spent bank holiday Monday at Holkham beach and were rewarded with seals popping up for a swim. Houghton Hall is highly recommended for a day trip - we loved all the sculptures and artworks. Cottage is lovely - just what we needed - and The Ostrich is fab!

What a beautiful cottage. we had such a lovely relaxing time staying here. Truly a home away from home with everything we needed! The area is perfect with the park/green just up the road for the children and the pub just opposite for the adults - a win win situation! Oh and my 6'1 husband learnt many a time why it is called 'Duck Cottage'.
