About this property

Duck Cottage is a beautifully-presented terraced cottage offering spacious accommodation close to the centre of the village of Snettisham in Norfolk. It is Ideal for families and friends wishing to explore this area by foot, bike, or car, under a mile away from the closest RSPB reserve, and within easy reach of the north Norfolk Coast. After parking your car, step into the wonderful, spacious open-plan sitting room, a perfect place for everyone to relax after a day out exploring or dine together whilst discussing the events of the day. The living area leads you to a light and airy well-equipped kitchen and out to the back garden via a large conservatory. The conservatory provides another fantastic place to relax and is ideal for reading a book or enjoying a coffee while planning your day. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms; a king-size double overlooking the front of the house and a twin room that can be made into a king-size bed which overlooks the back garden. Also, both bedrooms share a family bathroom. Relax on the patio in the garden before venturing out to explore the region for the rest of the day. The popular village of Snettisham has a selection of pubs and shops for you to enjoy and is ideally located for exploring the Norfolk coastline, perfect for walkers, cyclists, and birdwatchers. You can enjoy the wonderful coastline, villages, and market towns such as the popular and trendy Burnham Market and Holt, both with an excellent selection of independent shops, cafés, and regular markets. Other places to visit include nature reserves and magnificent houses, such as Houghton Hall and the beautiful royal home of Sandringham which boasts extensive grounds and woodland. Explore the breath-taking coast at Hunstanton where you can stroll along its glorious golden sands and admire the picturesque sunsets that this area is famous for! Take in the best of Norfolk with a stay at Duck Cottage.

Many of the homes in Snettisham, a typical Norfolk village, are constructed from the local iron-rich carr stone, giving them an appealing golden-brown hue. Because of this the structures' alternative name is "gingerbread houses." The village has a few convenience stores, a Post Office, two hotels, a cafe, and a bus stop with regular service to the neighbouring towns of King's Lynn, a historic city, and Hunstanton, a popular coastal resort with families. The church of St. Mary, perched alone atop the hill, is well worth visiting for its gorgeous tracery flowers that adorn the west window. The beach is only three miles distant, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath passes through the neighbourhood. Park Farm is a working farm on the outskirts of the village that hosts a variety of family-friendly events all year long, such as a 45-minute "deer safari" and the opportunity to feed the animals. Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm, is conveniently located close by, as are the Royal Estate of Sandringham's open house, gardens, and church.

Very clean and with everything you could need for your stay including even Netflix! The location is ideal for most local places with Hunstanton only a few miles away. I got my car on the front garden but I have a small Micra anything bigger would not fit! Although you can easily park a bit down the road out of the way. If I had a bigger car would we go back - YES we would. A really enjoyable stay.

Minimal light in the house and extremely poor light from the fittings. Heating was very good and the property clean. The parking in front of the property is impossible and dangerous due to a very busy road however parking in Strickland Ave was a good option. We were very disappointed with this property and for us it didn’t reflect previous reviews.

.. Its a very small parking area & not easy to get over the high curb Also rather difficult to back out into the often busy main road.... had a few tricky moments during our stay........ A dropped curb would help access for vehicles
