Parcel Cottage in Heacham, Norfolk, is a well-equipped and comfortable holiday rental with a cosy atmosphere and convenient location. Guests have praised the attentive owners, the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities, and the comfort of the beds. While some guests have noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience seems to be positive, with the cottage offering a true home-from-home feeling.
Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, while others reported issues with hair, dust, and cobwebs upon arrival. This suggests room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to local shops, the beach, and attractions like Norfolk Lavender. The cottage's position is considered excellent for exploring the Norfolk coast.
Guests have found the beds to be super comfy and the cottage cosy, especially with the log burner. However, one guest mentioned difficulty with the sofas and accessing parts of the property due to height.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, there were reports of a lack of supplied essentials and outdated information regarding the fireplace, which affects the score.
While guests have mentioned a welcome pack, there are not enough details to assess the consistency or quality of thoughtfulness across reviews. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gestures are a standard offering.
This old Post Office has been charmingly transformed, retaining all the building's history whilst creating a loving and warm family holiday home to enjoy year-round. Suitable for families and couples, Parcel Cottage is fully equipped for your self-catering needs.
Perfectly placed on the edge of the village, Parcel Cottage is a beautifully presented, two-bedroom cottage steeped in history. The property used to house the old Post Office, evidence of this adorning the walls in old photographs and its aged features. Heacham is a delightful North Norfolk village with stunning beaches; North beach and South beach, both within walking distance. A favourite amongst families the promenade stretches along the shoreline to the neighbouring Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton with popular Sea Life Centre and Funfair to visit. Heacham is a firm favourite with families; the calm waters are ideal for paddling or just splashing around.

The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Norfolk coast, Sandringham and Wroxham broad. It is spacious downstairs with excellent facilities. I am recently dsabled and had minor problems getting up from the sofas. I was aware of the bathroom being downstairs but by being careful I managed the stairs. I am 6 foot tall and this provided a challenge accessing so.e parts of the property. Overall the cottage has charm and although the outside sitting area is limited but mitigated by Heacham beach nearby and a long promenade suitable for wheelchair use.. There was only my wife and I so the property more than fulfilled our needs. It would be a challenge accommodating 4 mature adults but when our children were younger they would have loved the bunk beds. The welcome pack was a nice touch. The owners were available if needed but we had no issues at all.

All in all the cottage that we booked very very much last minute was really lovely - big enough for a couple & a doggie - minimal outdoor area to sit / play out in - but close enough to the beach. We ate in all week so the kitchen was "tested" & we had all the equipment we needed. The freezer box of the fridge needed to have been defrosted in advance hardly space to put an ice tray in - but was ok after a "hairdryer" session by me !
