The local towns of Brandon and Thetford are within easy driving distance and further afield is the maritime town of King's Lynn, Ely, Bury St Edmunds and the cities of Cambridge and Norwich. But well prepared for a comfortable stay. Well placed to reach places. Good value for money. Downside was unable to get sky downstairs and had limited other channels. Was able to reset channels to get a few more, but less than at home. Lounge and bedroom are directly on roadside and closeness to lakenheath air base might disturb some looking for peace and quiet. But overall we enjoyed our stay thank you.

Plenty of clean towels, more than we needed but nice to have extras available. Double mattress in main bedroom was a little on the soft side for us, we prefer a firmer mattress. Older property so floors upstairs were quite creaky but didn't bother us and to be expected in am older property. Owner met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful.

It is in a central location for visiting other towns and villages such as Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Ely, Diss and Norwich and Kings Lynn etc. A bonus with this cottage is that it is the only cottage (out of the 7 we stayed in) that has a cloths dryer and conservatory for drying cloths without using bathrooms which helped us enormously.
