A lovely 19th century detached barn conversion situated next door to the owner's property, on the edge of the charming market town of Long Sutton, 9 miles from Wisbech. Renovated and finished to a high standard throughout, the property offers comfortable, well equipped accommodation in a contemporary style. Within walking distance of the town centre, The Barn is handily located for enjoying a variety of shops and pubs with the local pub, The Old Ship Inn, just a short stroll away. The area is perfect for dog walking, being close to Wash coast, an English nature site just a ten minute drive away, and also makes a great base from which to explore the three counties of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
Situated in south-east Lincolnshire and close to the borders of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk is the charming small market town of Long Sutton. This settlement is full of architecturally interesting buildings including St Mary's Church, which dates from around1170 and boasts the highest wooden spire in the country. The town also boasts some fine examples of Georgian architecture. Every Friday there is a traditional town market with stalls run by local traders and close by is the renowned butterfly and wildlife park â repeatedly voted Lincolnshire's Family Attraction of the Year - which features an impressive tropical house filled with hundreds of butterflies. The enclosed garden was wonderful for the dog. Great location to explore Lincolnshire and Norfolk. I would highly recommend 'The Barn'.

The extra touches from the hosts were recieved with excitement from the children. We ate at The Ship Inn (a 2 min walk away). They were friendly and welcoming. The food was good pub grub. A nice little weekend bolt hole.

Musty and old fashioned. Internet never worked as the network was not stable and you couldn't maintain a connection for more than a minute or so, but it was hard to tell as it was slower than dial up when connected.
