With so much open countryside, you could be forgiven for thinking there’s nothing to do within easy reach, but the whole area is ideal for cycling, walking and horse riding, and you can visit the local shop and Bolingbroke Castle, which are within an easy one or two mile walk, or explore the incredible sight of the Snipe Dales Nature Reserve, followed by a visit to East Kirkby Aviation Museum which are just a few miles further on foot. Should you need a break from all that peace and tranquillity, Ramsden Hall is within easy driving distance (30 minutes) of Lincoln and its beautiful cathedral, or take a trip to Skegness and the seaside, just under 20 miles away. With antiques in Horncastle, RAF Conningsby and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Tattershall Castle, the WWII Aviation Trails and a whole lot more to see, there’s always something to do, no matter what the weather does.
