The village of Ribchester is situated in a curve of the River Ribble, close to Preston and Clitheroe. The village has multi-coloured stone cottages, three pubs and a Chinese restaurant. The Ribble Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has diverse natural habitats, and Clitheroe is famed for its specialist shops. Longridge is easily reached, a unique town with plenty of shops.
