About this property

Hope Lodge is a comfortable two bedroom, one bathroom holiday lodge situated on the five star Pine Lake holiday park. The property is located on the edge of the lake and is only 5 minutes from the M6 motorway, making it easily accessible from locations across Scotland and England.

There are shops and a pub in a nearby village and the property enjoys spectacular views of the lake and a quiet location, making it ideal for weekend getaways.

The lodge features an open plan living, kitchen and dining area. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds and a family bathroom offering a bathtub with a shower unit as well as a sink and WC. All of these rooms are located on the ground floor of the lodge, making it a perfect choice for small family get-togethers.

French doors lead from the living room and kitchen area out onto a terrace which offers spectacular views of the lake towards the countryside beyond. This is the perfect place to enjoy a late and leisurely breakfast or a family dinner as the sun goes down.

Parking for one car at the lodge is available and additional parking also available at reception. Decked terrace area and small lawn to the front.

Guests also have access to a full range of facilities at the Pine Lake holiday park, including sailing, water-skiing and canoeing and the on-site bar and restaurant where entertainment is available most nights. Complimentary leisure club facilities with heated indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room, solarium and tennis court. Wi-Fi available on site.

Lancaster and Morecambe are a mere 20-minute drive from the lodge, making it easy to access shops, a wide range of restaurants, beaches, and other amenities. It's also easy to drive to spectacular areas of the Lake District and the surrounding countryside.

The historic city of Lancaster sits on edge of Morecambe Bay, with the River Lune flowing through its centre. Lancaster retains many excellent examples of handsome Georgian architecture, and with its captivating medieval castle, Ashton Memorial, and four museums, it’s an interesting place for those in search of history and tales of the past. Among the many amenities, there are two venues for live performances, the Lancaster Grand Theatre and the Dukes, as well as open-air concerts held frequently in the pretty Williamson Park during the summer season. The Forest of Bowland and The Arnside & Silverdale Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty provide visitors with lots of opportunities to take in the flora and fauna of the area,

The lodge is a little dated and wasn't the cleanest . The beds were comfy, the living room is a little crowded but we did enjoy our stay. Bathroom Was a little smelly and shower was poor . It wasn't all bad but like I said earlier just a bit dated.

I really wanted to give it 5 stars but the greasy finger prints everywhere, especially cupboard doors and the patio doors, let it down. The bathroom had a strong smell of urine and there were no heating instructions to be found. I had to wash some of the crockery before use as they had dried food on. There's maybe too much in the living room area too, making it hard to manoeuvre around. I guess it being a family owned lodge, it is all useful for them. There are lots of positives to the lodge. The beds are comfy, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, including a small freezer. The details should be updated as this is not specified in the deets. The resort is just off the motorway and central for day trips to lake Windermere, Morecambe, Lancaster, Kendall etc. We wanted a base to go exploring and it was perfect for that. The area just in front of the balcony is home to swans, ducks and geese and it was wonderful to see them every day. Would I return? Yes I would, in a heart beat.
