Guests say

Corn Cottage receives high praise for its cosy atmosphere, ideal location for exploring the Lake District, and thoughtful touches from the owners. Guests appreciate the tranquil setting, the proximity to scenic walks and local attractions, and the cottage's well-equipped nature. The log burner and summer house are frequently mentioned as delightful features. While a few minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is generally described as clean and comfortable. However, there are isolated comments about some kitchen items needing replacement and a few dirty utensils upon arrival, suggesting room for improvement in ensuring all items are consistently pristine.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful surroundings, and accessibility to walks and local attractions. The proximity to scenic areas like Coniston Water and the availability of walks directly from the cottage contribute to a high score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a particularly comfy bed and a cosy log burner. However, some guests mention the sofa being uncomfortable and the cottage being a bit cold at times, which slightly lowers the score.

The cottage is well-equipped with a summer house, log burner, and kitchen appliances. Nonetheless, there are mentions of minor issues such as a non-working toaster, a dishwasher not performing well, and suggestions for additional kitchen utensils, indicating that while facilities are good, some maintenance is required.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures such as a welcome tray with flapjacks and milk. These small touches are greatly appreciated, although it should be noted that such personal touches, while common, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Perfect for two and our dog. Good walking from the doorstep and in scenic hamlet, Water Yeat, near Coniston Water with Coniston village near by & all it has to offer. Loved the log burner as weather was bit unpredictable on our visit. Helpful owners & lots of useful information & walking routes to make the most of our visit. Hope to return in summer to make use of great summer house. Great visit.

A cosy cottage in a quiet location, but on the doorstep of a great area offering lots to do and see without too much travelling. The cottage is warm and comfy, beautifully equipped. The log burner an absolute boon on a chilly evening, and a very comfortable bed too.

Had some good weather. Saw a lot of the area. Loads of useful information supplied by the owners. A non stick frying pan would be a good addition to the kitchen utensils and a larger TV screen in the sitting room. Bathroom and bedroom both lovely and the supply of logs was a great touch if required.Internet reception really good. 10/10
