The cottage itself is immaculate, the kitchen one of the best equipped weâve had in a holiday rental and weâve been cottaging in the lakes for years. The location is brilliant for hikers and families with Kendal, Windermere and even a day trip to morcombe all under an hour. Finally - if you are taking your doggy family member as we did, the stream is perfect for them - for a little play or washing of any muddy paws before reentering the cottage, the children happened to love birdy watching there too - especially the Heron. All around a perfect 4 day stay and we will definitely be back!
