The lodge consistently receives accolades for its immaculate condition, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotlessness and adherence to cleanliness, particularly in light of Covid guidelines.

The location is very well-received for its tranquillity and proximity to Bowness, offering a balance of peace and accessibility. However, some guests noted the uphill walk might be challenging for some, and there were occasional comments about noise from neighbouring properties.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the lodge well-equipped and the beds comfortable. The presence of wildlife and the log fire added to the cosy atmosphere, although there were rare comments about the lodge being cold or beds being small.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and hot tub. Criticisms include issues with Wi-Fi, Netflix connectivity, and occasional noise disturbance. Ongoing construction and the need for some updates were also mentioned.

Spacious, clean, well thought out with windows and doors everywhere to take in the great view of the tarn . It is well maintained and there is even a very friendly member of staff who came to check the hot tub was ok . Plenty of logs for the wood burner too . We had a pair of visiting ducks and saw pheasant, deer, and birds of prey during our stay . Easy access to Bowness and Windermere . A great place to unwind and explore the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended.

Just had a weeks stay at tarn lodge and would recommend to anyone. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and relaxing. The lodge itself is spotlessly clean, modern and extremely well equipped. The jacuzzi is an absolute bonus especially after a days walking , hidden away at the side of the lodge, giving total privacy. My only criticism would be the bed in the double room which can be made into 2 singles is quite uncomfortable. We look forward to staying again and would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you

A little hidden gem. The property is comfortable, clean, well equipped and in a beautiful setting just a few minutes drive away from Bowness. Gorgeous views over the Tarn, and daily visits from the ducks! Sarah is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend 100%.
