Snaptrip says

Lake View Cottage in Bedford, Cambridgeshire, is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning lake views, and tranquil setting. Guests appreciate the high-quality linens, friendly hosts, and thoughtful touches like home-baked brownies. While some minor disturbances from farm work were noted, the overall experience is one of peace and comfort, with many guests eager to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as well-prepared, clean, and immaculate. The quality of linens and towels is also commended.

The location is celebrated for its beautiful views and tranquil setting by a lake, with plenty of walks and local activities. Some guests mentioned minor disturbances from farm work, but overall the location is highly regarded.

Comfort is well-received with guests enjoying the peaceful environment and quality furnishings. However, one review mentioned a bed being too small for two average-sized adults, slightly impacting the score.

Facilities are generally praised, including the well-equipped nature of the property. However, the absence of a dishwasher or microwave and disturbances from farm work slightly lower the score.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts and local knowledge provided by the hosts. While these gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such offerings are a bonus and not guaranteed.

It was amazing looking out of the window each day at so many ducks, geese, and a red kite. It is so tranquil and peaceful, it was just what we needed. Thank you for an amazing stay we definetly will return in the New Year.

The working farm did not disturb us & was quieter than we expected! We enjoyed watching the many waterfowl on the lake directly opposite the cottage! The area has charming villages close by & lots of geocaching trails which was the reason for our stay! We did have a couple of issues but these were resolved quickly & feedback taken on board which is reassuring! Julia & Robert were ideal hosts, friendly & there if you needed them but left you alone to enjoy your holiday! We would definitely return again as we had a great week!
