Stone’s Throw, a charming Victorian terraced house with some original features and private sauna is peacefully located in Windermere within walking distance of the train and bus station, yet just a ten minute stroll across the adjacent park, to the village centre and local amenities. A short drive from Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick it is a great base from which to explore the area by bus or car. If you prefer to walk or cycle, you will appreciate the many local books and guides, electric sauna and secure bike storage. The cottage would suit two couples or a small family looking for a walking holiday or a relaxing stay.

Windermere is a vibrant popular village with a friendly atmosphere, traditional pubs, cafes, individual shops and continental restaurants. From Bowness, a mile away, you can visit the famous World of Beatrix Potter or cruise on a Steamer to the picturesque village of Ambleside or beautiful Lakeside, where you can ride the steam train to Haverthwaite or visit The Aquarium Of The Lakes, the award winning fresh water aquarium.

Stone’s Throw provides cosy accommodation to relax after an afternoon walking on the fells, or biking through the Lake District. The cottage overlooks the park with children’s play area, during the summer months you can enjoy watching a game of cricket whilst taking in the view to the nearby fell Orrest Head. The rear paved garden has two sitting areas whilst, in the tiny walled front yard, two people can sit and catch the last rays of the sun while sipping the prosecco from the welcome pack.

The cottage is gas centrally heated and comprises:Lounge with electric reclining three seater sofa and armchair, stove effect electric fire, flat screen TV, Sky and DVD player, door to staircase to first floor and door to rear garden.
Dining area with table and seating for four with French doors to the garden.
Kitchen equipped with double oven and five burner gas hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar seating two.
Utility with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, hand basin and separate WC.First Floor: Master double bedroom with king size bed, built in wardrobes and views over the park and to Orrest Head from the window.
Bathroom with large bath with curved shower over, hand basin and WC.
Sauna with built in music system.Second Floor: Large attic room with double bed, Tempur memory foam mattress, TV/DVD player, cosy corner with bookshelf and two armchairs, window providing views over the park and to Orrest Head, original Victorian fireplace (not in use) and en-suite shower room with hand basin and WC.The rear paved garden has two sitting areas upper patio area with table and seating for four.
