Snaptrip says

Grasmere Cottage in Cumbria offers a tranquil, wildlife-rich setting that guests find peaceful and rejuvenating. Many appreciate its clean, well-equipped accommodation and the beautiful, secluded location. While some mention the need for updates and better heating, the charm of the cabin and its surroundings, along with the convenience of nearby Ulverston for supplies, make it a favoured retreat for nature lovers and those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests generally report the cabin to be clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant stay. Occasional comments about an 'old smell' suggest room for improvement, but these are few compared to the positive remarks.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, natural beauty, and wildlife, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and connection with nature. Its proximity to Ulverston and other attractions in the Lake District adds to its appeal.

The cabin is often described as comfortable and cosy, with a peaceful atmosphere. However, some guests mention that the seating and heating could be improved, indicating that comfort levels are generally good but not without criticism.

Facilities are deemed adequate by most, with well-equipped kitchens and good quality bed linen and towels. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as a leaking roof and non-working radiators, suggesting that while the facilities meet needs, there is scope for enhancement.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.
