Snaptrip says

Can Brow Cottage is a quaint property set in a stunning location with wildlife and woodland walks, benefiting from a farm shop and pool. Guests appreciate the warm, cosy atmosphere and the scenic, peaceful surroundings, though some noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with several guests noting issues such as cobwebs, dirty windows, and a lack of COVID-standard cleaning. However, some guests found the cottage cosy and clean.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, stunning scenery, and proximity to local attractions and wildlife, despite some concerns about mobile signal availability.

The cottage is generally found to be warm and comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere suitable for couples. Some guests felt it was cramped, especially with pets, and suggested improvements like a larger bed.

Facilities like the pool are appreciated, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as broken appliances, inadequate kitchenware, and heating problems. The gym's additional cost and the pool's closure were also noted.

While there are mentions of a welcome gesture with milk and flowers, there is insufficient information to assess overall thoughtfulness consistently across reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score, and guests should note that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Close enough to lots of places in the lakes to explore without having to drive too far and large expanse of forest and parkland around the cottage. Had a lovely time, despite rainy weather.

Outside is a mess , the table is filthy, windows dirty.Broken concrete. It could be done nicely with a bit of effort. The area is quiet and peaceful and bed comfortable. Amenities ok. The inside is o.k not cleaned for covid standard.I had a holiday let I owned and cleaned and never left it like this.It is not worth the money. I can put up with the place but the site is the worst thing. Not even 1 star.

The amenities included a full size 12 place setting dishwasher, yet there was a severe shortage of crockery (4 pots) and cutlery (2 knives and 2 forks). The cleanliness left a lot to be desired with cobwebs and dust clearly visible. We were told every cottage should have a clothes horse for drying clothes. There was no clothes horse in the cottage on arrival and despite 3 requests one was never delivered to the cottage during our stay. Positives were the pool which was very good and the prompt attention we received from the maintenance man when we reported a leaking shower head.
