Originally one of the farm buildings this cottage has been renovated to a high standard with beams in the lounge. Only 15 minutes from Lake Windermere with a wealth of facilities on the doorstep to keep the family entertained.
Grizebeck sits on the road from Newby Bridge to the Duddon Estuary and is located 6 miles south of Coniston Water and within a 15 minute drive of Lake Windermere, Grange Over Sands, Cartmel and Morecambe Bay. The South Lakes Animal Park, Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Lakeside, where you can enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere getting off at many popular villages along the way, are all close by to entertain the family.
The cottage is in a small rural development of 3 cottages and has been refurbished from the former farm buildings and now provides comfortable family accommodation with delightful gardens with views down the Duddon estuary towards the fells.

The cottage is heated by night storage heaters and also an oil heater in the main bedroom and panel heaters in the twin and single bedroom and comprises:
Beamed lounge with electric wood burning log effect fire in fireplace, TV, video, DVD player and views to Kirkby fell.
Dining/kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Utility cupboard housing washer/dryer.
Bathroom comprising shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
Stairs down to the bedrooms with entrance from the hallway to the garden.
Double bedroom with kingsize bed, pine furniture and view to the Kirby fells.
Single bedroom with view to the fells.
Twin bedroom.
All electric, towels and bed linen provided.
Cot and highchair and stair gate available.
Private parking for 3 cars.
The Cottage has an enclosed garden with patio area.

We could nor fault the service we received by cottage holidays. The cottage was lovely, clean and an absolute joy to stay there. We took our dogs and the walks around the area were great. The Farmers arms at Lowick served lovely food and we were able to take our dogs into the pub which was nice as always have to sit outside. The fish and chip shop at Greenodd was good and the food was still hot when we arrived back at the cottage. The only downside was the amount of traffic that seemed to use the the narrow road to the cottage and you have to be very careful driving in and out. We would definately visit again.

We loved this cottage, felt at home from the moment we arrived. It is well equipped (the only thing missing were some breakfast bowls). The views from it wer amazing, and it was surrounded by a stone wall, which made it ideal for our dog.

Rosh
For this year's early Easter holidays, we decided to go to Lake District and spend the extended weekend there. Our choice of Bank Cottage proved to be an excellent one as it provided the convenience of the entire family staying together in a homely atmosphere while being not far from the key attractions around the area. The apartment was well furnished and provided good space for large families. The kids were highly entertained with the abundant choice of Dvds to choose from, they were busy with that during the evenings. The location provided good privacy and stunning view of the surrounding. Since the snow was yet to melt, the view from the cottage was even better. However due to the location of the place, you will need your own transport arrangements to move around. Since there is good parking space availability, this should not be an issue. We look forward to stay there for an even longer period in the future.
