Valentine’s Cottage offers a warm welcome to all guests. It’s handy for the town centre and is very well equipped with everything you’ll need for a relaxed stay.

The ground floor features an open plan living space with dining table for four, easy seating, electric fire and flat screen TV, perfect for a movie night after a day of adventure. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances, electric hob and oven, fridge and freezer, microwave and a washer/dryer too. The bathroom features a shower over bath. At the rear it has a small, enclosed yard with seating and terrace. For such a central property, it’s great to have somewhere to sit and relax and enjoy the afternoon sun with a glass of wine after a day of shopping and sightseeing. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms, one with bunk beds whilst the master features a kingsize bed and plenty of storage and hanging space.

You’ll find free parking just a 2–3-minute walk from the property. Once you arrive you can leave the car behind to make the most of your prime location. The nearest pub is just 50 yards away and another 100 yards away, both offering a variety of beers and craft ales and having won numerous awards in recent years. The town has a range of high street brands mixed in with independent retailers, coffee shops, cafés, delis, bars, and restaurants. There is a weekly outdoor market selling local crafts as well as an indoor market that is open every day. Kendal is known as the Gateway to the Lakes, the museum dates from 1796 and Abbott Hall and Gallery is just 15 minutes away by foot. With the car you can reach Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside in fifteen minutes. If you choose, you can get to Windermere by train, as Kendal railway station is only 15 minutes away. There is a regular bus service to Windermere, Ambleside, and Keswick, from a stop that is a short walk away. Whether you prefer cycling, hiking, or just a pleasant stroll, this is the right place for you. You can also bring your dog as Valentine’s Cottage is pet friendly.
