Snaptrip says

Bank End Lodge is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its spaciousness, comfortable furnishings, and stunning views, particularly from the hot tub. The property's location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and walks, though some noted it can be challenging for those with mobility issues. The lodge's cleanliness and maintenance received mixed feedback, with some guests highlighting areas for improvement.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cleanliness of the property received mixed reviews. While some guests found the lodge clean and tidy, others pointed out that it could have been better, especially considering COVID-19 concerns. There were mentions of cobwebs and the need for a more thorough cleaning in some areas.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to local attractions, such as the Zoo, Ravenglass railway, and Lakes Coniston and Windermere. However, some guests mentioned road noise and the need to drive to access certain attractions.

Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, with plenty of space and comfortable bedrooms. However, some guests mentioned that the property's multiple staircases could pose a challenge for the elderly or those with disabilities.

The facilities, including the hot tub, were appreciated by many guests, contributing to an enjoyable stay. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as non-working jets in the hot tub and worn-out kitchen appliances, suggesting room for improvement.

While some guests mentioned thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a Christmas tree, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or special considerations to accurately assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such extras are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Also general tidying of the areas outside is required some areas very untidy and tired and looks like a building site with Eris fencing around. Nice cottage inside
