Great location with lots of walks in the Langdale valley from the doorstep. Minutes away from a friendly pub, the Britannia, with good beer and food, also bus stop to go down the valley. The Old Sawpit is comfortable, warm with a well equipped kitchen although up a flight of stone steps. Designated parking a few yards away.

Quirky old property complete with sloping floors! Comfortable beds. More kitchen utensils, pots and pans than anyone could ask for, though much of the glassware could do with replacing. Good WiFi from a BT hub. Just a note of caution for anyone not very steady on their feet - the access is by an uneven flight of slate steps up the outside.

A wonderful location with walks from the doorstep in every direction. The property provided everything we needed and was very comfortable. With several pubs within short walking distance and a convenience store in Chapel Stile, we rarely used the car. Our dog loved sitting on the stone balcony watching the Herdies go by with their lambs.
