    This large, detached family house is found in the South Lakes of Cumbria, bordering on the Lake District National Park. Just a short drive from Coniston Water, Lake Windermere and the thousands of walks and bike tracks that the Lake District is famous for. This delightful property looks onto the Leven estuary and Roudsea Wood Nature Reserve where you can enjoy bird watching or the woodland trail.
    There are three large bedrooms upstairs, the master bedroom with the convenience of an en-suite, and a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a large open plan living/dining room/kitchen with plenty of comfortable seating which makes for a great social area. There is also a garage that can be used for storing bikes, canoes and other sport equipment. With an enclosed garden, ideal for children and their four-legged friend, and private parking, Rowan Tree is a superb choice for families and friends. Beach 6 miles. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    "What a lovely house in a stunning location!Comfortable, spacious rooms tastefully decorated. Everything we needed was available with some extras, including a cupboard full of toys and games. Only 1 negative- the showers didn’t both work at the same time."

    "Very comfortable cottage ideal for the 3 generations of family staying together, well equipped and plenty of towels. Could do with a DVD player for evenings in. Garden is a haven for birds and insects and a very relaxing place to sit. Local pub within walking distance was very friendly with good food at exceedingly reasonable price."

    "On the plus side, the house is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a short break. We had 2 cars with us, and parked one in the driveway and the other on the road - no problem.On the negative side, it was a good job we did not bring our dog as originally intended, as the small garden (front and back) was definitely not secure either for dogs or our 2 small grandchildren. We did eventually find some kind of temporary fencing in the garage along with a notice saying that we should use the bungee straps provided to strap the fencing to a tree to make the garden secure - not a very satisfactory solution as a) too awkward, and b) most medium sized dogs would be able to jump over it. The garden was also quite overgrown, the lawn needed mowing, and needed clearing of rubbish - we found an old frying pan in the back garden. Regarding cleanliness, an empty Pepsi can was found on top of a dressing table and small grandson found old sweets under a sofa."

    "We loved this cottage. Very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The garage was really useful for storing bikes and muddy boots. There are lovely views to the front of the cottage. We didn’t use the local pub so can’t give any feedback on that but the local chip shop was good! Highly recommended."
