About this property

This charming cottage is situated in the hamlet Broughton Mills, 2 miles from the market town of Broughton-In-Furness. Set on a working farm with stunning views of the Lickle Valley, Rose Cottage is a true home away from home, bringing you comfort and relaxation all-year-round. Inside you will discover a characterful lounge with a woodburning stove, tucked away into a stone fireplace, and cream-coloured sofas which complement the traditional feel. The kitchen/diner has a country cottage feel and makes a cosy place to join your loved ones, morning or night time, to discuss those up and coming adventures over a home-cooked meal. Three bedrooms are decorated to a standard of quality, with well-coordinated furnishings and tiny traditional windows, so you can snuggle up in style after an adventure-filled day. There is also a family bathroom complete with classic features, and a shower which is located over the bath, so all guests can get ready at ease. Make the most of the small patio garden to the front and the use of a large grassy shared raised garden behind the house, a nice spot to rest on the furniture or gather for a barbecue with your loved ones. Rose Cottage is within walking distance to local Blacksmith Arms pub, which serves lovely food, and only 2 miles from Broughton-In-Furness which has an array of shops, restaurants and a bakery. The local area offers plenty of pleasant walks and opportunities to see local birds and wildlife. A getaway not to be missed.

The area just North of Carnforth has tidal sands bordering the huge expanse of Morecambe Bay. It offers plenty of pleasant walks and opportunity to see local birds and wildlife. 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, it is close to absolutely everywhere. Other local attractions are the swimming pool and leisure centre at Capernwray and Greenlands Farm Village for crafts.

View from hot tub is amazing and house has everything you need. Was difficult to find in the dark.. especially as satnav postcode does not take you to cottage...and depends on your approach..we came down hill towards it and could not see cottage as tucked away to the left behind a wall! People in blacksmiths arms are very friendly and helpful ..which is where satnav takes you but do not take your car down the road in front of the pub as you may get stuck!! Overall a lovely stay and now we know how to find it would definitely recommend to others!!

Views from the hot tub are stunning. We will definitely go back. The Blacksmiths Arms pub which is a few minutes walk away is excellent too.
