Tabitha's Cottage is a detached cottage down a little lane in Near Sawrey. You step back in time as you enter this charming cottage.. you can almost imagine Beatrix Potter, who lived just around the corner sitting by the roaring fire. The owner has taken great care to combine quality antique furniture and all modern facilities to add to the charm of this delightful cottage.

From the porch you step into a small entrance hall with space for coats and boots. Then into a reception room with settle and table. From here a doorway leads to the bespoke kitchen/dinning room with electric cooker, additional built in double hob, belfast sink, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. This room also benefits from french doors which lead out onto a private patio (with table and chairs) at the rear of the cottage. There is a lovely old dresser and circular dining table and chairs. There is a cosy living room with seating for 6 and a lovely open fire and large flatscreen TV and DVD player. Beyond the lounge there is a pretty double bedroom and a modern shower room with shower, small basin and wc. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.

Upstairs there is a second lounge with a deep settee and large flatscreen TV. This spacious room has high ceilings and french doors which lead out onto a second patio area which catches the sun and offers glimpses of the rolling hills towards Grizedale. There is a large, very pretty master bedroom with 4 poster bed and coordinated furniture and TV. Next door, there is a second smaller double bedroom (with an electric wall mounted heater). There are two bathrooms on this floor - the traditional family bathroom offers a bath with hand-held shower attachment, basin and WC. There is also a smaller shower room with basin and WC.

Outside there are two stone flagged patio areas at different levels linked by a flight of stone steps (small children will require supervision).
