Nothing is more than a ten minute walk from Long Crag Annexe, even the bus stops are only 150 yards from the drive end, your car need never move. The A591 is the main Lake District route, and continues on from Ambleside to historic Grasmere and Keswick. Hawkshead, the Langdale Valley and Coniston Water are all within easy reach as is Ullswater. Windermere Lake Cruises are a popular Lake District holiday attraction, you can walk from Ambleside village centre to Waterhead Pier and catch one of the famous steamers to Bowness or Lakeside.
