Within a few minutes drive is Rheged Discovery Centre and the town of Penrith with bars, restaurants and shops, 2 miles south is Askham with an outdoor swimming pool. The bustling market town of Keswick is a 20 minute drive as is the historic city of Carlisle, making this an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District and surrounding areas.

Now the children have grown up, the owners have decided to make it available for those looking for a well equipped holiday cottage. The cottage has been thoughtfully equipped for your every need, including a good selection of walking and local guides, games and smart TV including free Wi-Fi. The cottage is in an ideal location for cycling and walking from the door returning to the renowned Yanwath Gate Gastro Pub within 150 yards of the cottage.

Cottage pulito, accogliente e ideale per una famiglia con bambini, c\'è tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno. Posizione strategica sia per passeggiate a Ullswater che per escursioni nel Lake District; dista inoltre pochi minuti in auto dal centro di Penrith. L\'ideale è il noleggio di una macchina. Vicini molto disponibili, ringraziamo particolarmente Geof e Kim per la loro cortesia e cordialità . Abbiamo avuto soltanto un problema di connessione con il wifi per un errore di comunicazione dei dati d\'accesso da parte dell\'agenzia prontamente risolto dal nostro referente ( il vicino). Speriamo di tornarci presto per percorrere i vari sentieri possibili nella zona.

Fantastic cottage, perfect for visiting Ullswater and touring the rest of the Lake District. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious and the village of Yanwath is very peaceful with friendly locals.

The cottage is a real home from home. The coal fire is great for warming up after a day out walking.
