The cottage is a fabulous romantic retreat with a light and airy open plan living area with exposed beams throughout. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, dining area and

a comfortable sitting area with a log burner to keep you cosy in the evenings. Upstairs is the charming king-size double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Outside there is a patio with furniture where you can sit, relax and take in the lovely scenery. The village pub in Greystoke is a pleasant 15 minutes’ walk from the front door. Greystoke also has a local shop, café and an open air heated swimming pool open during the summer months. Greystoke also lies on the Coast to Coast cycle route, making it an ideal stop for cyclists. With Penrith within easy driving distance you are spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink in the evening. Set on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park there are many opportunities for outdoor activities with Keswick just 14 miles away, set on the shores of Derwent Water. This is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists to explore the Lake District and then return to Pippa's Cottage and enjoy a relaxing massage at the Retreat at Red Barn, located next door.

This charming village has a number of 17th century cottages and is conveniently situated just 4 miles from Penrith. There are some lovely castles in the area including one at Penrith and the stunning remains of Lowther Castle which also has lovely grounds which have had a varied past. Set just on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park this is a fabulous location for fans of the outdoors as there are numerous picturesque walks available in the area.
