Kidsty Cottage is a quaint property praised for its great location, ideal for exploring the Lake District and local walks. Guests appreciate the cosy wood burner, cleanliness, and the provision of laundry appliances. The cottage is well-equipped, though some guests suggest minor improvements in kitchenware and seating comfort. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with the convenience of nearby pubs and shops, contributes to a pleasant stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally maintains good cleanliness, with several guests finding it comfortable and tidy. However, there are mentions of specific areas needing attention, such as kitchen appliances and a venetian blind, which slightly lower the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the Lake District, local amenities, and scenic walks. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas, contributing to a high score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy sofas and beds. However, some guests mention the shower room being tight for taller individuals and the seating being a bit hard, which affects the score.

Facilities like the hot water system, wood burner, and laundry appliances are appreciated. Criticisms include the lack of WiFi, ironing equipment, and hair dryer, as well as the need for some kitchen appliance updates, which impacts the score.

While some guests mention the thoughtful touch of milk for tea upon arrival, others note its absence. As the provision of such gifts is inconsistent and not guaranteed, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available reviews.

Very clean but furniture (especially settees) could do with being updated. Loved the fire which made the winter evenings very cosy. Great location for exploring the lake district nearby, lots of great walks straight from the cottage and closeby to Windermere. We tried the few pubs and chippy in the village which were a great help after a long days walk. Would stay here again.

Owner even checked we were ok as 2 huge storms hit when we were there. Can not fault the cottage we will definitely be back

The log burner was fantastic but in all honesty we didn’t really need to put it on, the radiators that were on timer kept the whole cottage warm. The feedback I could suggest and this is not a criticism was there was no outside bucket for rubbish, when going away we left black bin-liner of rubbish outside of back door. Dorothy.
