Site Description

Thanet Well is part of our Evermore Lodge Holidays Collection, commanding one of the most spectacular views towards Carrock Fell, Blencathra Mountain and Bowscale Fell from its dramatic and truly unique setting on the edge of Greystoke Forest – the ‘gateway’ to the Lake District National Park. Surrounded by unrivalled scenic splendour and countless attractions, this blissfully secluded retreat creates a perfect opportunity for the whole family to escape the hustle of everyday life.

Blending seamlessly into the surroundings, each lodge combines space and style without compromising on that all-important home-from-home feel, while hot tubs in premier units offer the ultimate in soaking up the awe-inspiring views. Wi-Fi access* (in selected lodges only) and a small shop with basic essentials complete the picture.

Hosting some of Britain’s best-loved scenery, from serene lakes to towering pikes, the Lakes need little introduction. Ullswater, Bassenthwaite, Coniston and legendary Grasmere wait within 40-minutes, while nearby Penrith and Keswick promise local gastronomic delights. The Rheged Centre, an all weather visitor centre with indoor and outdoor play areas, a selection of cafés and shops with regional produce and crafts and a varied programme of imaginative children’s events throughout the school holidays along with hang-gliding, para-gliding, canoeing and sailing number among an astonishing array of local activities. *Charges apply.

Was a lovely place to stay, nice and quiet. Pub 10 mins drive away which was lovely. The lodge was warm, clean and overall very cosy. Wasn’t able to have a proper walk around the lodges and surrounding areas due to the weather but we would definitely stay here again soon. Also Dog friendly places nearby.

Only issue was washer dryer. Washed some clothes that came out of dryer soaking wet despite being dried twice. Had to hand in bathroom
