Elderbeck Lodge is a contemporary property located in a family-friendly holiday park, less than a mile from Pooley Bridge.

With a modern light and airy design, the site boasts excellent views of Lake Ullswater from its heated first-floor terrace and large double door windows. Sleeping six, this is an ideal base for a large family holiday or groups of couples.

This lodge is designed upside down, so the three bedrooms - one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms - are on the ground floor. The double bedroom is large and has its own en-suite bathroom, whereas the other two twin rooms can make use of the downstairs family bathroom. Once you head upstairs you'll find a trendy loft-style layout featuring open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area amply sized for six guests. Its stylish decor is complemented by light pouring in from skylights and two large double doors which lead out onto a terrace.

The terrace is a heated patio/balcony area with glass-panel railing to make the most of those incredible views of Lake Ullswater and the fells.

One of the benefits of picking this property is its quick access to excellent facilities designed to make your stay as stress-free as possible. Due to its placement in the holiday park, you're afforded some peace, yet within walking distance of a shop, two children's playgrounds and a host of activities during the summer months, to name but a few nearby amenities. Bar and restaurant is open weekends from Easter to Whit then fully open every day until September. Weekends only during October. During the summer season entertainment is laid on with children's discos, live entertainment, licensed bar and beer garden, during the summer school holidays a children's club is operated and there is a restaurant with take away service available.

Beyond the park, the charming village of Pooley Bridge is less than a mile away, and there are dozens of activities and tours which can be booked up, including a trip to the 60ft wonder that is the Aira Force waterfall, or a trip around the lake on an Ullswater Steamer. The beautiful medieval Penrith is just 5 miles away, ideal for an afternoon away from muddy hikes on the fells or pottering around the lake.

Pooley Bridge is only 1 mile away with a traditional village inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The historic market town of Penrith is within 5 miles and has numerous shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, golf course and driving range.
