"It was clean with lovely soft furnishings. A little dated in places but aren’t we all?! The Owners were around if anything was needed. Ample off road parking for two cars. The beach at Silecroft is amazing, past the pebbles is the most beautiful sandy beach which seems to go on forever. The Beach Café very nice with lovely ice cream. The Miner’s Arms had lovely food. We had our best steak at The King Billy at Kirkstanton. We didn’t use the station but understand it is a request stop for ..."

" Highly recommended. Might we just suggest that a garden table and chairs would be welcomed with perhaps a parousel in summer weather. Otherwise, outstandingly good! Looking forward to our return in September. "
    Mr Cotterell ‐ 1 Jun 2019
" It is so comfortable and well equipped, (our son is very impressed with the wifi) in such a beautiful part of the world. The lakes take a bit of a drive to get to but it's nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Million is only down the road with a great Tesco for food shopping if you want to eat in or you have the local pub a couple minute walk away to ear out. Didn't want to come home. "
    Mrs Capstick ‐ 1 Oct 2018
"The cottage is in a great location, near the Beach and easy driving distance to the Lakes and Munster Castle, also a train station in the village, everything thing you need is provided and Stella responds Quick to any queries , would certainly recommend"
    Mr Warren ‐ 1 Jun 2018

    Mrs Davies ‐ 1 Apr 2018
"There was nothing to rinse your hair with in the bathroom, just a plastic jug, so disappointed with this over priced cottage in the middle of nowhere This should not have a 3 star rating, it was the worst place we have ever stayed."
    Mrs Davies ‐ 1 Apr 2018
"There was no comfort here, the sofa was tiny and really low, the double bed was saggy and you could feel the springs, so much so that I had to go and sleep in one of the single beds. There was nothing to rinse your hair with in the bathroom, just a plastic jug, so disappointed with this over priced cottage in the middle of nowhere This should not have a 3 star rating, it was the worst place we have ever stayed."
    Mr Fazakerley ‐ 1 Mar 2018
"The shower head was also defective sending a good preportion of the water sideways making it difficult to get a good shower apart from that I would definitely recommend staying."
    Mr Bond ‐ 1 Mar 2018
"Pleasant and cosy cottage, but the (mandatory) nearby pub kept very limited hours, menu and ambiance in the cooler months when we were there, so we had to get into the car (or optionally the train) to do much in the inclement weather."
    Mr Fazakerley ‐ 1 Mar 2018
"Lovely cottage would deffinately return the only slight downside was extremely hot water so you had to use the cold to wash your hands. The shower head was also defective sending a good preportion of the water sideways making it difficult to get a good shower apart from that I would definitely recommend staying."

Mr Robert Lumley, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear
"We had a great week at this really lovely cottage. The very friendly and helpful owner had truly thought of and provided everything you would need for your stay. It is located in a quiet location off the main street within the equally lovely village of Silecroft. The garden is a sun trap and is enclosed. It is an ideally situated base for exploring the local countryside. The local pub a short walk away provides excellent food. Overall we could not find any fault or negatives regarding the cottage, so much so we have booked again for later in the year. Scoring is ten out of ten."
    Mrs Francesca Edwards, London,
"A lovely property, with everything you might need for a break away and perfect for a family with a small child. The cottage is charming and cosy. We appreciated the heating on as soon as we arrived, and the wood burner when returning from exploring! The beach was 10 mins walk away; great for long walks and shell collecting. We found Middle Kellet a good base and received a friendly welcome. Thank you. "
Mr Patrick Day, Sturminster Newton, Dorset
"The cottage was beautiful and me and my wife loved every minute of our time here."
    Rob W
"Stayed here in late May 2015 through work with my family and we loved it. Lovely little place with bags and bags of character. Charming little village with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful stay. Free wifi and large kitchen and an open fire. Stella was lovely and we the 3 nights we stayed flew by. Wish I had brought my road bike to do some cycling. Best bit was the beach about 10 mins walk up the road. Excellent. Well recommended."
    Mrs Lisa Jolley, Bourne, Lincolnshire
"The location is excellent with a lovely beach on the doorstep and the national park within easy distance. It is an extremely comfortable cottage and the owner was very helpful. My daughter and I were very impressed overall, we would definitely return."

"A beautiful location and cosy cottage. Had very helpful owners."
Mrs Jane Lloyd, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
"Very quiet and cosy, just right for two adults and two children. Loved the wood burning stove and the beach at Silecroft is fabulous."
    Barbara L
"Middle Kellet is a cottage built in 1751 (as evidenced by the writing in the plaster above the kitchen window), and wears its charm well. The kitchen is outfitted with all one might need-cooking items, etc. Hot water is abundant, and the beds are comfortable. The best aspect of the cottage, however, is the owners who live in back. They were incredibly kind and generous with their produce and advice when asked for recommendations. It felt as though we made lifelong friends. I'd love to go back."
    Mrs Janet Rowlands, lancs, Lancashire
"Thank you. We enjoyed staying there and thank you to the owner for the tea, coffee etc ."
Mrs Beth Mcgregor Tosh, Leeds, West Yorkshire
"We had a lovely week at this cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, it was nice and warm and in a quiet location. The garden was enclosed which was excellent for our children to play safely in. Although it did take a while to get to some of the lakes from this location it was nice to be away from the crowds."
    Mrs Linda Clegg, Macclesfield, Cheshire
"Everything was great, even the weather didn't let us down."
    Miss Shagufta Khan, Blackburn, Lancashire
"The cottage was lovely and homely. It was very close to shops and the seaside. Ideal for families with kids. "
Mr & Mrs I T Mathars, Stalybridge, Greater Manchester
"Friendly welcome. Good convenient parking. Cosy cottage. Welcome pack. Lovely beach nearby . Quiet location. "
