Snaptrip says

Prospect Lodge is a quaint and cosy cottage in Keswick, appreciated for its charm, homely feel, and beautiful views. Its location is ideal for exploring the Lake District, with guests enjoying the proximity to local walks and Keswick town. The unique character of the cottage and its cleanliness are frequently praised, making it a gem for many who have stayed.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, with only a few isolated reports of cleanliness issues such as unclean crockery and a fly infestation. The overall impression is that the property is maintained to a good standard of cleanliness.

The cottage's location is highly regarded, with guests loving the easy access to Keswick and the surrounding Lake District. The picturesque setting and convenience for walking and exploring the area are significant positives.

Comfort received mixed reviews. While many guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, there were complaints about the firmness of the mattresses and the inconvenience of the bath/shower setup. The steep stairs were also noted, although not problematic for all.

Facilities and maintenance are areas with room for improvement. Guests mentioned issues with parking, stiff taps, and a non-working log burner. The lack of Wi-Fi and mobile signal was a minor inconvenience for some. However, the provision of essentials and a well-equipped kitchen were positives.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately determined.

Despite the lack of onsite parking, (parking on the road outside was convenient and we never had any difficulty finding a space each evening) the place had- or was within easy walking distance of - everything we could have desired. We spent our evenings in the snug little lounge on the second floor but we missed the variety of Freeview stations we were used to, but that seemed to be due to the location (phone signals were a bit hit or miss, too) Kitchen facilities were as good as at home and the (very) local pub and restaurant served excellent meals. Access to buses was very convenient for two concessionary bus pass holders ! We loved it despite the three narrow staircases, and the bath was a real luxury compared with the customary shower. We'll be looking at Sykes Cottages again when we come to plan our holiday for 2024.

It is well equipped and cosy. It could do with a handrail on the right hand side from the lounge to the kitchen .
