The lower slopes of Skiddaw, Latrigg and the jaws of Borrowdale Valley are all within walking distance. Other beauty spots include Whinlatter Forest, Ashness Bridge, Surprise View and of course the shores of Derwentwater offering a wide variety of activities including boat hire and cruises. For the less active there are numerous shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and parks and of course The Theatre by the Lake. There really is something here for everyone.

It was very comfortable and well equipped as always. It is an ideal location and would back again.

It is very well equipped and in a good location. Our only concern is the shower screen which leaks after every shower onto the floor and needs to be replaced. Would highly recommend this property
