"The cottage was in a very quiet area with great views, which suited us well. You could walk into Keswick in 10 minutes by turning left out of the door and walking down a footpath to meet Ambleside Road. This was very useful and we did this a few times. Our long stop-start journey up the M6 due to roadworks meant we were glad to eventually arrive at the cottage, to find there was no heating on, but after a quick phone call to the very helpful owner we were able to resolve this. Mrs Jennifer Harrison, Liverpool,
"We had a very relaxing holiday. The area of the bungalow was quiet which is what we like, yet we were only a few minutes from the centre of Keswick. The bungalow was by far the nicest we have stayed in with you."
    Mrs Linda Brady, Deeside, Flintshire
"The bungalow was a lovely place, with everything you would need and more. A great location & were able to access many walks from the door, without using the car."

"We were up in Keswick for our annual family gathering and in particular this year to celebrate a 90th birthday. Have stayed in other properties in the location but first time in High Doat. Great little bungalow with the added bonus of a large entrance lobby and a sun room off the kitchen. Excellent shower in the bathroom - the best we've had in a number of years. Although there was a musty smell that we couldn't track down. Beds were comfy and plenty of bedroom storage space. Towels aren't provided which is a shame as they are bulky items to pack. Internet would have been useful especially as mobile signal is intermittent. Would be reluctant to book again due to the lack of wifi - but if wifi was included would love to stay again!"

"Beautiful, cosy bungalow - a home from home with everything you could need. Very quiet location with fantastic views but within easy walking distance of the town centre. You could even park a little closer to town if you were lucky (maybe not in high season though. The garden would be a lovely place in good weather to have your meal. Nothing to dislike at all."

"We've just returned from this property and would return without a doubt. My husband and I, along with our two young sons (aged 4 and 10 months) had a wonderful week here, and the property catered for all our needs. The cottage was spotless and the owner left milk and tea bread (to be highly recommended!) for our arrival, which was a nice touch. It is an ideal location for exploring Keswick and the surrounding area - close enough for the local amenities, but far enough out to appreciate the peace and quiet of the lakes. I can't recommend this highly enough."

"What a find. A 10 minute walk into Keswick (turn left out of the house down the snicket at the end of the road ,it's a lot quicker!). It's situated on the edge of town so well away from what can be a very busy town centre. The cottage is very clean and has EVERYTHING you need for a real home from home holiday. There's so much to do in Keswick and there are dozens of great walks within a 20 minute drive. We even did Skiddaw from the house. The pitch and putt golf near the lake is great fun. Still lots of walks to do in the area so we'll be back again"

"This cottage is very highly recommended it is furnished to a very high standard with everything in pristeen condition. The only downside and there is only one it is very steep access to the property for elderly people as we are. Fortunately we have a disabled badge hence we were able to park free of charge in town which we had to do but apart from that we would rate this as superb."

"We enjoyed our stay in this house and found it convenient for Keswick and close to main roads for travelling about. We would stay again when in the area."
