Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges is part of our Wanderwood Lodge Holidays Collection, nestling on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake at the foot of dramatic Skiddaw Mountain. A haven of peace and tranquillity holding the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, these superb lodges boast wonderful walks and cycling right from the doorstep. Stroll the woods, fish the stunning lake (license required Mar 1-Nov 15 ’ 19) or enjoy some private sailing (Mar 31-Oct 31) before shedding your shoes and soaking up the luxury of your own hot tub.
Conquer fells, enjoy the neighbouring 25-acre Wildlife Park or simply explore the lake’s rich heritage of birdlife, fish, shoreside flora and fauna. Keswick’s abundant attractions offer something to everyone just 6 miles away.

All excellent.This was a much anticipated staycation over a year late due to Covid restrictions last year.

Without doubt a beautiful part of the UK. The site is located within easy reach of Keswick centre by car, 11 minutes. The lodge was fully kitted out, to our surprise, due to the Corvid situation. Having all the usual extras, cutlery, pillows, cleaning products, glasses etc. provided.The view of the lake was not obvious but this didn't detract from a marvellous long weekend break. The views from the decking and Hot tub were picturesque. I am sure my family and I will return to Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodge in the near future.
